PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,796 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (June 23), bringing the cumulative number of cases to 4,549,847.

The Health Ministry's CovidNow portal reported that of this number, 2,587 cases were local transmissions and 209 were imported cases.

There are currently 27,318 active cases in the country, with 26,253 individuals observing home quarantine, 18 in low-risk quarantine and treatment centres and 1,009 in hospitals receiving treatment.
