311 New Year revellers at a restaurant in Jalan Sultan Yusuff were issued compound notices for RM1,000.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said police raided the premises at 10.30pm Friday and said under the SOPs, it could only accommodate 100 people.

He said compounds totalling RM300,000 were issued on 177 men and 99 women, including 35 underage individuals who were at the premises. Commenting on the special operation from 6 pm yesterday until 6 am today, Mior Faridalathrash said police conducted some 48 raids and mounted 74 roadblocks, involving 901 officers and personnel.
