PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has identified 16 new Covid-19 clusters on Friday (June 11), of which 12 are linked to workplace outbreaks.

One of the workplace outbreaks is the Industri Persiaran Raja Lumu cluster in Port Klang, which 95 cases among workers of a factory.

So far, 197 people have been tested under a targeted screening exercise conducted on the factory’s staff.One is the Kampung Sungai Penchala cluster where 105 villagers were found to be Covid-19 positive. The cases were detected from a targeted screening exercise, in which 521 individuals have been tested so far.The cluster is linked to a funeral at Kampung Kopi Blues in Sri Tanjung, Tawau on May 29.

The index case of the cluster is a 46-year-old woman who tested positive on June 9, after developing symptoms four days earlier.There is also a cluster categorised as a high-risk group, which involves workers of an old folks home in Kempas Baru, Johor. The index case is a 50-year-old woman who developed symptoms and later tested positive for Covid-19 on May 25.Nationwide, there are now 755 active clusters.

with 1.57 mil people still going around to work. Anyone think the +ve case will decrease in 2 more weeks? One people go to work, one family risk +ve. The rest of us have to stay at home for more days.
