Mohd Jusoh, 68, remarried Mek Kadijah Awam, 62, in a simple akad nikah ceremony at a mosque witnessed by their children and other family members.Mohd Jusoh said he and Mek Kadijah, who is from Kampung Nong Nangka near Besut, first married in 1971 and lived in Kampung Bukit Yong, Pasir Puteh in Kelantan.
“We went our own ways and remarried other people. I found out that Mek Kadijah moved to the village here after her marriage to another man and gave birth to five children, ” he said. “Alhamdulilah, my proposal was accepted although she seemed a bit reluctant initially. She finally agreed after her children persuaded her, ” he said.
