have just released early renders of 2024’s flagship phone for Samsung – and the details shared are worth a mention here.Firstly, the overall design of the phone does not depart too much from this year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra – the flat top and bottom design is retained for the 2024 flagship. Even on the back, the number of camera modules is the same, with a standard, wide-angle, zoom and periscope sensor.One aspect of the design that is different this time around is the screen.
The main difference with the camera this time is the 10MP periscope sensor – online reports are sharing that Samsung is going to cut down the optical zoom length from 10x to 5x – mirroring Apple. This writer feels that the downgrade makes the phone too similar to the iPhone, rather than standing out in the pack. Samsung should stay with the 10x periscope sensor as it gives the phone an advantage over its competitors.
Otherwise, the phone will have similar internals to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It will have more RAM – up to 16GB, up to 1TB of internal storage, a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and the typical IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
