KTMB chief executive officer Datuk Ir Kamarulzaman Zainal in a statement said the guideline will be followed by all its staff working at the two main entrances of the train stations in Johor Baru, Johor and Padang Besar, Perlis.
“KTMB handles more than 8,000 passengers at the Johor Baru Sentral daily through 31 Shuttle Tebrau train services between Johor Baru and Woodlands in Singapore, while more than 300 passengers have been coming daily to the Padang Besar station to board the State Railway of Thailand trains. Kamarulzaman added that similar steps were taken to involve all cargo train staff commuting between Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia.
