Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department chief Huzir Mohamed said that his officers will call the five individuals by next week to assist in investigations. The preacher claimed the five had made defamatory statements against him and wanted police to take action under the Penal Code and Sedition Act for defaming him and instigating racial disharmony and hatred among Malaysians.
Police had classified Naik’s case under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace.
