KUALA LUMPUR: The police have raided the office of Goh Leong Yeong, the suspect who gave policemen the slip at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya.

His office in Low Yat plaza was raided on Wednesday as investigations intensified into his and another suspect's involvement in crime syndicates.

"There is a possibility that his computer vendor businesses led to him getting jobs from the syndicates in China," said Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed at Bukit Aman. He also ensured that Goh, who is also known as Alvin, was being tracked down after fleeing from the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on Oct 11.

Comm Huzir also explained the involvement of Goh and another suspect, Addy Kanna, in the crime syndicate. He said the duo are suspected to be coordinators for syndicates operating gambling call centres and forex scams. On ongoing operations, Comm Huzir said that on Oct 17,138 suspects were caught after 12 locations were raided in the Klang Valley for being suspected call centres.Article type: metered
