An unemployed man who was infatuated with a car sales consultant became angry after she refused to take a picture with him.

IPOH : Police have arrested a 42-year-old man who allegedly tied up his wife and poured hot wax on her as he believed she had cheated on him.

Gerik OCPD Supt Zulkifli Mahmood said the 35-year-old victim lodged a report at the Kampung Lalang police station at 1.32am on April 14, claiming she was assaulted by her husband at their house in Kampung Alai, Gerik. "Initial investigations revealed that the victim was asleep at about 10.30pm on April 13 when her husband came home and tied up her hands while wielding a knife."He also pulled on the victim's bracelet and chain until it broke before he tore her clothes, poured hot wax from a candle on her body and threatened to burn her.
