SEPANG: The suspect who shot a bodyguard at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 on Sunday and his intended target were in the midst of a divorce, according to police.

He said that according to records, the suspect, identified as Hafizul Harawi, had reports lodged against him since as early as 2016.“The victim had two reports for criminal intimidation, the latest in December last year. Comm Mohd Shuhaily added that police had also previously investigated the suspect for theft and impersonating a public officer.Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said in a statement that a shooting occurred at around 1.30am in the arrival hall.The suspect then fled the scene.
