Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Shafee Abd Samad said 37 motorcycles were reported stolen between April and May.“Intelligence by a special team found that the syndicates namely Geng Kupang, Geng Humairah, Geng Chot, Geng Pondok and Geng Junjong have been responsible for motorcycle theft in the district and other parts of Penang.
“Some of the suspects have past criminal records such as motorcycle theft, house break-in and drug abuse,” he said in a statement on Thursday .He said the suspects were being investigated under Section 379 A of the Penal Code for motor vehicle theft.
