PETALING JAYA: Concerned Malaysians have raised pertinent questions in social media over the streamless school approach.

Both Muhammad Abidin and Vinod Panikkar wished that such a system was in place during their student years, with Naz Ideham calling it the “best decision ever made” by the Education Ministry. Calling the move “ambitious”, Devika Rajamanickam said the Education Ministry would need to ensure a proper flow of students into their subjects of interest.

“It's already like that in Australia since many years ago. It's always a good idea to go a la carte instead of set menu. So you don't end up buying something you don't need.”“Again... have you remembered to ask us teachers who are on the front line, who will be the one implementing this? Always our opinions have never been asked when it comes to what we would be tasked to do, ” she said.

Streamless classes from next year onwardsBeginning next year, students will no longer have to choose between Science or Arts stream. What is your take on this? Reply to this tweet with your thoughts! There should be something like allocation for Arts or Science stream. For example if there are 100 students, 99 prefer Science and 1 prefer Arts. Do we have the ability to conduct class with 1 student? No fair late by 2o years for me... Anyways good move 😊 Better ! As there wont be any judging between arts n science students as how people do nowadays... Arts students do have future too !!
