What are your thoughts on the 5G network implementation in 🇲🇾? KKD 5GMalaysia TechNave

Malaysia soon. He also revealed that this ministry had held a meeting with the Finance Ministry on Monday to discuss the implementation of the 5G network project by Digital Nasional Bhd .

This is following Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement last month that a review of DNB’s 5G rollout will be initiated due to a lack of transparency. As reported by Bernama, Fahmi asserted that it is important for the matter to not be delayed and for it to be settled immediately. This is so that Malaysians, small and medium enterprises and essentially everyone can use the 5G infrastructure to help boost business activities and daily life. Moreover, the KKD Minister also stressed that the federal government do not want 5G implementation to be incomplete either.

Admitting that the matter could not be solved instantly, Fahmi was confident that the 5G issue needed to be resolved before embarking on a 6G network, which he said was too soon for our country. DNB, a special purpose vehicle owned by the government to develop 5G technology has recently expressed its commitment to speeding up the schedule to implement 5G coverage to 80 per cent of residential areas by 2024.

So, what do you guys think of the statement by the KKD Minister? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news from Malaysia and beyond!

With due respect to the Perpaduan Government. 5G needs to roll out as fast as we can. The cost of deployment will only increase from time to time, and the slower DNB deployment of 5G the longer ROI.
