This is following Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement last month that a review of DNB’s 5G rollout will be initiated due to a lack of transparency. As reported by Bernama, Fahmi asserted that it is important for the matter to not be delayed and for it to be settled immediately. This is so that Malaysians, small and medium enterprises and essentially everyone can use the 5G infrastructure to help boost business activities and daily life. Moreover, the KKD Minister also stressed that the federal government do not want 5G implementation to be incomplete either.

DNB, a special purpose vehicle owned by the government to develop 5G technology has recently expressed its commitment to speeding up the schedule to implement 5G coverage to 80 per cent of residential areas by 2024.
