Civil servant bonuses should be based on merit, MAAC says

The Malaysian Academic Association Congress says civil servants’ bonuses should be awarded by merit and the service sector they work in to inspire them to continue providing excellent service to the public. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 28, 2020.

THE Malaysian Academic Association Congress proposed today that civil servants’ bonuses be awarded according to merit and the service sector they work in. MAAC president Prof Dr Mohd Idrus Mohd Masirin said awards may be done according to the Annual Performance Appraisal Report marks received by the employee, as well as the employee’s performance in Key Performance Index set by the departments and the government.
