This significant development will enable the council to address various transport logistics planning issues in the state more effectively, said CILTM Sabah Section Chairman Dr Oh Ei Sun in a statement Tuesday.

He said the invitation was extended by Datuk Hanafiah Mohd Kassim, the Permanent Secretary of the Sabah Works Ministry, during a forum titled “Civil Society: The Core of Urban Transport Planning” organised by CILTM Sabah Section on Mar 25. Hanafiah was one of the panellists in the session moderated by Ts Daniel Doughty.

She further highlighted the importance of the aesthetic, cultural, and historical aspects of Kota Kinabalu city in planning. Meanwhile, the CILT Malaysia President Dato Muhammad Muhiyuddin Abdullah praised CILTM Sabah Section for successfully holding the forumHe said CILTM will support whatever initiatives carried out by the Sabah State Government and CILT Sabah to improve the transport system in the State and he hopes more stakeholders will participate in the next discussion.
