CIDB suggesting variation of price clause for govt projects

For now, CIDB chief executive Ahmad ‘Asri Abdul Hamid advises contractors to be careful in providing price quotations to protect against price hikes. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 3, 2021.

THE Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board is recommending a variation of price clause be included for government projects to reduce the burden of contractors being affected by current building material inflation. CIDB chief executive Ahmad ‘Asri Abdul Hamid said including it during the movement control order period would also guarantee projects are finished on time.
