PETALING JAYA: Lee Chong Wei is out to play a part in creating world-class shuttlers who can go on to become the country’s next champions from his badminton academy.

The former great has taken advantage of the school holidays to pay a visit and share some of his experiences to young aspiring players during a camp at LCW badminton academy.

“Gave a pep talk, shared some experience. Hope these young talents will have a better guided journey and the country may have more world champions in the future.” The former world No. 1 had set up his academy in 2017 in Gunung Rapat, Ipoh, to help unearth young talents. One player who certainly looks to have benefited from the initiatives is the current national junior women’s doubles shuttler Vannee Gobi.
