CHINI constituents are advised to cast their ballots for Saturday’s by-election according to the suggested time printed on voters’ cards, which have been sent out. “The proposed time slots are to prevent voters from gathering in large numbers, and to ensure social distancing at polling centres. This is in line with procedures to curb the spread of Covid-19 under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988,” said Election Commission deputy chairman Azmi Sharom in a statement today.
