Shenzhou XVIII marks China's 13th manned spaceflight and will be responsible for relieving the current crew stationed on Tiangong.

is on the cusp of launching its next manned space mission, Shenzhou XVIII. This mission will see a crew of three astronauts embark on a journey to the Tiangong space station, marking the first crewed visit to the station this year.having reached the service tower at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert on Wednesday. The China Manned Space Agency reports that final checks are underway on both the spacecraft and the rocket before launch.

Shenzhou XVIII marks China’s 13th manned spaceflight and will be responsible for relieving the current crew stationed on Tiangong. The Shenzhou XVII crew, led by Senior Colonel Tang Hongbo, has been onboard thesince October 26th, 2023, and will have completed a six-month mission by the end of April. The names of the Shenzhou XVIII astronauts have not yet been revealed.
