China boosts ventilator production to meet local, overseas demand

Pakistan is among countries receiving medical supplies such as test kits, masks, ventilators and personal protective equipment from China, in the fight against coronavirus. – EPA pic, March 30, 2020.

CHINESE enterprises have bolstered capacity in producing ventilators to overcome the imperative shortage amid efforts to fight against the Covid-19, Xinhua news agency quoted the Industry and Information Technology Ministry as saying today. Pushing the work resumption of medical equipment enterprises is a top priority to ensure sufficient supply amid the epidemic, Xu Kemin, a ministry official, said at a press conference.
