PUTRAJAYA: Three individuals, including a chief executive officer of a corporation, has been remanded for allegedly accepting bribes amounting to RM600,000 to help a company win a tender to upgrade the corporation's headquarters.

According to sources, the three suspects aged from 39 to 54 were arrested after they were summoned to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission at 8pm on Thursday for their statements to be recorded.

It is learnt that the tender in question was for mechanical and upgrading works to be done on the corporation's headquarters located on Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The three suspects were brought before Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin on Friday , who allowed an application by the MACC for them to be remanded until April 10.

MACC senior director of special operations division Datuk Tan Kang Sai confirmed that the three had been remanded.
