Car skids, plunges into river, 2 killed

Police say the identity of the pedestrian killed in the car crash, believed to be a Rohingya, is yet to be ascertained. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 25, 2023.

Pekan district police chief Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin said a passenger in the car, identified as Nor Katijah Mamat, 33, was also killed in the 9.30am incident, believed to have drowned when the car plunged into the river.
