The navy helicopter plunged into the Mediterranean Sea during a Nato operation FMTNews

Canadian Rear Admiral Craig Baines says Nato ships and aircraft are taking part in the helicopter’s rescue mission.

“Today, with the call to end the search and rescue mission, I join all Canadians in mourning the loss of six Canadian Armed Forces members,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement. Nato ships and aircraft took part in the search and rescue mission, supported by Greece, Italy, Turkey and the United States.
