Is their marketing moment in space really comparable to, say, the US landing on the moon in 1969?

“Really, it’s a moment that gives you goose bumps,” Rachel Crane, CNN innovation correspondent said Sunday morning on the channel shortly after Branson’s craft landed. “As a reporter, we all have those moments that we put in the memory book forever, that we know we’re never going to forget, we’re going to hold onto the rest of our lives. I have got to tell you, this is one of those for me.”

Alex Heard, editorial director of Outside magazine, tweeted that “almost everything” Crane said in her reports “sounds like Virgin Galactic wrote it for her.” God save us from rich guys like Branson and Mark Zuckerberg promising their latest moneymaking technological venture is going to change the world for good. And we are in for more talk of how these efforts to privatise and colonise space are a good thing for all of us when Bezos takes a crew into suborbital space on Tuesday, July 20.

Perhaps they are exploring of hosting all their clouds base system from space and leveraging Starlink Internet as main transport layer…..🤔 not bad of an idea, ya ?
