Cabinet wants council to discuss proposed review of doctors’ fees

Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad says the proposal to review the consultation fees of doctors in private practice was tabled to the cabinet for approval on April 24. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Afif Abd Halim, July 2, 2019.

THE cabinet has asked that the proposal to review the consultation fees of doctors in private practice be discussed by the National Cost of Living Action Council before any decision is made. Discuss, & pay the doctors what they deserved. Patients who can't afford them can opt to visit the public hospitals. In the implication from this is, they might be a decrease of patients opting for private GP. More on public doctors/ over the counter medicines.
