KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 — As part of the BYD Dolphin launch in Malaysia last week, Sime Darby Beyond Auto has offeredto the first 800 customers that booked the new fully electric hatchback. The exclusive distributor for BYD vehicles in Malaysia has since extended the offer until tomorrow, August 6.
This was confirmed by Calvin Sze-Tho, the Head of Sales Distribution Head Office at Sime Darby Beyond Auto during a media session yesterday. The company decided to extend the promotion despite the number of customers having “over exceeded” its expectations, according to the executive. Under this deal, they are free to choose whether to have the RM1,300 credit with access to EV chargers under Yinson GreenTech’s ChargEV or Petronas green energy subsidiary Gentari.
