Why spend RM55m just to move the traffic jam 1km down the road?, asks CAP president Mohideen Abdul Kader.

A Penang-based NGO has offered several reasons why the building of the Mount Erskine underpass in the state is not the best option.said the plan is a waste of ratepayers money and should be scrapped.

"If so, please make it public. This solution is akin to cutting your nose to spite your face," Mohideen stressed. On Nov 6, Chow said the construction was necessary or else, it would indirectly impede economic development in the area. "With this, the number of daily vehicles in the area is expected to increase by 8,500 units in 2024".had made the remark when responding to an oral question by Lee Chun Kit at the State Legislative Assembly sitting on Nov 6.
