Build wall along Sg Golok, say residents | The Malaysian Insight

Rantau Panjang residents want the federal government to erect a wall along Sg Golok to avoid fast rising waters during the flood season. – YouTube screenshot, December 7, 2019.

THE cement wall built by the Thai government on the border near Rantau Panjang is a source of anxiety to those living along Sg Golok. The residents say since that wall was built, the passage of the current towards the Malaysian side during the recent flood is stronger, resulting in Sg Golok overflowing much faster into the town area.
