AS Malaysians cautiously navigate the transition to endemic phase of Covid-19, many are spending their holidays locally and hotels are now seeing full occupancy.

It is good to have children around, especially at the swimming pools where most take to the water like ducks. But I dread seeing them in the hotel dining areas, particularly where the buffet food is laid out. And then there are others who go around the buffet spread, sniffing and touching the food within reach with their bare hands.
