MIAMI: The Milwaukee Bucks made an NBA record 29 3-pointers while routing the host Miami Heat 144-97 in a wire-to-wire victory on Tuesday night.

The Heat, who eliminated the Bucks in five games in last season’s Eastern Conference semifinals, will get a rematch with Milwaukee on Wednesday night when the teams meet again in Miami. On Tuesday, it was the Bucks who had the hot shooters. Milwaukee, making 11 of its first 12 shots, got off to a 12-0 start and then a 21-3 advantage. The Bucks led by as many as 24 points before settling for a 46-26 lead after the first quarter.
