TAWAU: .The aim is to raise awareness on the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Nine roadshows were held at various venues such as Tawau Health Clinic, Tawau hospital, Tawau Hospice, temple and church as well as a talk held at UiTM Tawau since September. Specialists from Queen Elizabeth Hospital would talk on breast cancer and there would be a sharing session by a member of Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, who is a breast cancer survivor.
Health screening would also be available such as Breast Examination, with mammogram and ultrasound appointment dates where applicable, pap smear, dental check-up, sight screening, health check-up including blood pressure, BMI and blood glucose test. There would also be goodie bags for successful donors. Children are encouraged to join colouring contest starting from 9am until 11.30am. The categories consist of Preschool , lower primary school , higher primary school .
