Amirul Zarith Zamri received the inaugural “TUAH” award during the 15th convocation ceremony of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka on Monday .
“I was in the bathroom during the fire. My mother was helpless at that moment and screamed for help,” he said when interviewed on Monday .“I just minutes, my whole house was razed, and we lost all our belongings,” he said.“However, I was determined to complete my education despite the tragedy,” he said.
He also received a cheque worth RM2,000, a certificate and a medal for his achievement under the special award.
