THE single 5G network or Single Wholesale Network concept has been discussed by the Finance Ministry and the Communications and Multimedia Ministry in Cabinet since 2019. Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said it was proposed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission in a report published at the time titled Final Report on the Allocation of Spectrum Bands for Mobile Broadband Service in Malaysia.
