KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional will contest the Chini by-election in Pahang, says its secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa .“This matter was discussed by the supreme council and it was decided that Barisan will defend the seat, as it was held by a Barisan assemblyman, ” he said at a press conference at the Putra World Trade Centre on Thursday .Umno’s Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Harun, the Chini assemblyman, died on May 7, leaving the seat vacant.
This, he said, meant less face-to-face campaigning and more reliance on online methods of campaigning.“PBRS has never officially exited Barisan – the party has always been with Barisan, ” he added.
