The by-election was triggered by the death of its incumbent, Umno’s Johari Harun.

Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the Pahang Barisan Nasional leadership has agreed to submit six potential names to the top leadership for consideration.

He said the candidate for the seat will be announced two to three days before nomination day on Sept 23.
