PAPAR: The PBS candidate for Limbahau, Johnny Mositun, says there are better alternatives to the Papar Dam to resolve water supply issues on Sabah's west coast.

According to a Bernama report, the PBS vice-president said this includes increasing the number of water treatment plants and reservoirs, which were also more cost effective and less disruptive. "I think this method will not involve high costs and will not cause uneasiness among the community here. The river will not be affected and can flow its usual course. Tourism activities can also be conducted," he was quoted as saying.
