Padawan police chief Superintendent Aidil Bolhassan said police got the break when inspecting a suspicious-looking vehicle parked at a house in Taman Everbright during a routine patrol at the neighbourhood at 10.30am."There were two men inside the house. One of them turned out to be the suspect we are looking for... We nabbed him to facilitate our investigation,” he said in a statement here today.Aidil said the suspect had been taken to Siburan police station for further action.
On Monday, a 37-year-old man was found dead on the five-foot-way along a row of shops in Batu Kawa at about 3.40am. CCTV footages showed that the victim appeared to have been stabbed by a man who was riding pillion with him on a motorcycle. Preliminary investigations showed the victim and the suspect had been drinking at a shop in the area.
While on the motorcycle, the suspect pulled out a sharp object from under his shirt and repeatedly stabbed the victim until he collapsed on the road.Related stories
