Beliau percaya DAP juga melepaskan peluang untuk memenangi sokongan pengundi Melayu, lebih-lebih lagi pemimpin DAP mengeluarkan kenyataan mengenai isu khat dalam bahasa Mandarin – ini boleh membawa kepada persepsi bahawa DAP mengatakan 1 perkara kepada 1 komuniti, dan perkara lain kepada komuniti lain.
