Premier Sarawak Abang Johari Openg berkata memandangkan sektor ekonomi Sarawak dijangka meningkat, adalah penting bagi kerajaan mencari jalan membantu PKS untuk turut sama memajukan sektor berkenaan.“Oleh itu, saya sedang berusaha mungkin dalam tahun ini atau akhir tahun Sarawak mempunyai bank komersialnya sendiri,” katanya ketika berucap pada majlis sambutan Aidilfitri di Gedong, kira-kira 90 kilometer dari Kuching, hari ini.
“Saya tidak dapat nak umumkan lagi ... kena bincang dahulu dengan majoriti . Saya yakin ini akan menjadi pemangkin kepada industri kecil dan sederhana,” katanya.
