Any move to adopt a single-stream education system should encompass religious schools as well as Chinese and Tamil vernacular schools, according to a PKR leader., who is deputy head of the party’s Permatang Pauh division, said only banning the vernacular schools to pave the way for a single-stream school was not sufficient. “It has to be across the board, and that includes religious schools,” he said.
