Ban of alcohol in KL an attempt to curb rights of non-Muslims, says Ramasamy

THE new restrictions placed on the sale of alcohol in sundry shops, groceries and Chinese medical halls in Kuala Lumpur smacks of an insidious attempt to curb the rights of the non-Muslims in the country, Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy said. Slamming Federal Territories Minister Shahidan Kassim, Ramasamy said the move by the government was only to appease the Malay-Muslims rather than considering of the rights of the non-Muslims.
