KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has huge potential in bringing changes to the state, says Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has huge potential in bringing changes to the state, says Datuk Seri Azmin AliThe Perikatan Nasional's chief whip said the party would boost federal-state ties if they were part of the new state government.

"The Federal Government focuses on issues of the people. It is a functional government compared to Pakatan Harapan which played more politics."Federal-state ties remain important because allocations need to be distributed and any changes and transformation at the federal level need the support of state governments.

On Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad starting a new political party, Azmin said while he personally did not see the need for a new party as there were already too many in the country, any individual or group can do so under the democratic practice.
