According to awantecmy the Board Oversight Committee which takes effect from today will be tasked to oversee and provide guidance to the management team of AwanTech pending the appointment of a new CEO.

, the Board of Directors of AwanBiru Technology Bhd have announced the establishment of a Board Oversight Committee led by Ramanathan Sathiamutty and supported by Dr Abu Hasan Ismail.

The BOC which takes effect from 1st August 2022 will be tasked to oversee and provide guidance to the management team of Awantec pending the appointment of a new CEO. Rezal will be leaving Awantec after serving his six-month tenure as CEO to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. Ramanathan, who is an Independent Non-Executive Director, has been a director at Awantec since 2014 and was also the former advisor to Chief Executive Officer of Celcom Axiata, as well the Managing Director of IBM Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Ramanathan currently chairs the Risk Management Committee of Awantec. Abu is the founder of Awantec, recognised as one the leading providers of outsourced ICT Training and Services in the country. Currently, Abu is the Founder Mentor at Awantec where, he remains as the single largest shareholder of the Group and a non-executive board member.said, “Our Board of Directors and I have made the decision to form this Board Oversight Committee to support the Management as they focus on maintaining and building on the growth trajectory of Awantec since it began its transformation journey a few years ago.
