StarMetro also saw hawkers operating by the roadside with some setting up stalls on parking bays outside the park.According to the latest standard operating procedure issued by the National Security Council on Sept 3, both workers and customers must wear a face mask at all times, in addition to a minimum one metre physical distancing.

He urged the authorities to take stern action against those breaking the rules, to serve as a warning to others.He said the people could not afford such irresponsible behaviour. Retiree Mahizan Kasim, 60, said the public should play their role and take responsibility for their actions.“But enforcement officers cannot be everywhere, so it is time for individuals to take responsibility for their actions,” she said.
