We are not going to take mine waste back from overseas, says Aussie minister.

Australia has rejected Putrajaya's bid to send back radioactive waste from Lynas' rare earth processing plant in Gebeng, Kuantan.

The rare earth processed at Lynas' facility in Kuantan, dubbed the"Lynas Advanced Material Plant ", originates from Mount Weld in Western Australia. The Lynas facility produces two kinds of waste, namely the radioactive WLP and the non-radioactive neutralisation underflow . Lynas has sought to turn the NUF into commercial products but pilot studies found that its use as fertiliser led to elevated levels of heavy metal in produce, albeit still within permissible levels.that the heavy metal levels could increase further if used in large quantities.

MR Xaxier, now can you explain why you allowed the mining to continue?

How about if china want to return our palm oil waste to us. Do we accept it?

They are clear in their stand, can we make ours, take back your waste or no renewed of Operation license, but will PH do it...

Evidence this was a bad deal.... if this was gold dust sure they will want it back.

The radioactive waste 4m their own country also they don't want 2 accept back... Then what else to retain it here in Malaysia? No reason for it to remain here in Malaysia. Take back your own radioactive waste.

Shutdown the plant before too late.

BillJohnstonMLA it’s reciprocal, pls ban all non-recyclable wastes export from Australia to Malaysia and other 3rd world countries. We are not your dumping ground.

This is called Idiotic barbaric morons of the previous government

ooh...shit , don't want ...

One suggestion: Pls dump all the waste in every umno ministers home including their extended families?
