Police have confirmed they are investigating the case under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
The police report lodged on Dec 5 at the Petaling Jaya police station states that the woman was invited by the politician to celebrate her birthday on Dec 4 at Plaza Damas in Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. At 9.30pm, the woman claimed that the four of them went to a karaoke lounge and were served liquor and champagne. She claimed to have had more than four glasses of liquor and was unable to sing along, adding that she felt nauseous and had vomited “a lot”.
She said she woke up naked at 4.15am in a hotel suite, stating that she felt uneasy and suspected that someone had touched her, claiming she saw a condom in the dustbin while looking for her clothes.
