Army to block off ‘rat trails’ at Kedah border

The army has introduced tighter inspection and control as well as more frequent patrols at the border with Thailand to prevent illegal visitors from sneaking into the country. – EPA pic, May 12, 2020.

THE Malaysian Armed Forces has identified several “rat trails” used by illegal immigrants at the country’s borders in Bukit Kayu Hitam and Baling in Kedah. Sixth Brigade Commander Brigadier General Mohd Halim Khalid said 500 army personnel guard the 240km border around the clock.
