Ross Young said that panel shipments in December is expected to be “close to 0” due to poor demand, even as those for the greater iPhone 14 line will increase by 10% compared to last year for the iPhone 13. This is despite a 9% decline in the overall smartphone market.
Much of this increase is being taken up by the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models, helping to raise the average selling price of the lineup by 10%. That’s thanks to the more expensive models making up 64% of iPhone 14 sales, compared to the 51% share commanded by the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.
