Apex court clears lawyer Cecil Abraham of misconduct

The Federal Court has ruled that the Malaysian Bar failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the alleged misconduct by lawyer Cecil Abraham in relation to a statutory declaration that he prepared for the late private investigator P. Balasubramaniam. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 29, 2019.

THE Federal Court has cleared lawyer Cecil Abraham of professional misconduct relating to a statutory declaration that he prepared for the late private investigator P. Balasubramaniam. A four-judge panel, comprising Chief Justice Richard Malanjum, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak David Wong, and justices Ramly Ali and Mohd Zawawi Salleh, dismissed the disciplinary complaint brought by the Malaysian Bar.
