Anwar, yang juga Pengerusi Pakatan Harapan memfailkan saman itu menerusi Tetuan S N Nair & Partners di Mahkamah Tinggi Taiping dengan menamakan Razman, yang juga Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Gunong Semanggol selaku defendan tunggal. Dakwa Presiden PKR itu, siaran video langsung Facebook tersebut kemudian diterbitkan menerusi artikel bertarikh 6 November, dalam Bahasa Malaysia dan Bahasa Inggeris di dalam sebuah portal berita.

Dakwa plaintif, kata-kata fitnah itu dibuat untuk menjatuhkan reputasinya dan dakwaan dalam artikel berkenaan adalah tidak benar kerana plaintif sentiasa memperjuangkan ajaran dan nilai teras Islam dan mengecam semua dakwaan agenda LGBT selain memperjuangkan agenda reformasi yang lebih besar untuk tadbir urus.
